Luck Rock

A Toy and Branding Project Inspired by the Korean Tradition of Stone Stacking for Wishes

Luck Rock is a Korean-style reinterpretation of the culture of raising pet stones. In Korea, there is a culture of making a wish by stacking stones by the river. Taking the motif from this, I created a brand of pet stone house in the form of stacked stones.

The four patterns on each floor symbolize wealth, relationshop, health, and performance. People can change the balance of the fortune by rotating the stone according to their wishes. The patterns originated from the shape of Korea's traditional Maedeup. Maedeup is a traditional decoration item for a luck.

It is a brand that uses an exaggerated luxurious concept to maximize the idea of 'packaging trivial item' that Petstone Raising has. As such, it maintains a humorous and exaggerated concept in marketing strategies. The purpose is to make people laugh and be curious about this rather than actually believing

in its efficacy.
